How To Attract Mexican Women Without Raising Red Flags
Sure, you can present yourself to the best of your abilities and that would normally be enough, but you might end up raising a few red flags that can nip your chances of dating a Mexican woman right in the bud.
But what are those traits? What are those behaviors that make Mexican women think that a guy isn’t boyfriend material? It’d be important for you to know what these traits are so you can either temper them down if you have them or you can drop them before you get to Mexico.
You don’t demonstrate family values.
Quick question — what’s the most important unit of Mexican society? Quick answer: it’s family. Yeah, family is a very important thing in Mexico and the women there will hold their families close to their chest and will put the very concept of family on a pedestal.
So if you’re on a date with a Mexican woman and you’re talking, try to avoid the topic of family if your relationship with them can be described as cordial at best. A guy who doesn’t have a great relationship with his family isn’t exactly a hot commodity in Mexico so you definitely don’t want to be that guy if you want to have any romantic success down south.
Family is so important in Mexico that if you do date a Mexican woman, you’ll probably end up meeting her family a lot sooner than you would if you were dating a woman in your home country. This is so her parents can assess you and decide whether or not to exercise their implicit veto power over her relationship choices.
You can’t handle their passion.
You know that passion that Mexican women are famous for? That zest for life and all it has to offer? Yeah, a lot of guys who aren’t from Mexico aren’t going to be able to handle that. They’re going to be passionate about a lot of things and they’ll be quite exuberant in expressing that passion.
So if you’re a guy who can’t handle it when someone wears their heart on their sleeve and isn’t shy about it, you’re not going to find a lot of traction when it comes to Mexican women. They’re not going to want to be with someone whom they feel wants to dim their light. So make sure that you can handle a woman’s exuberance and her passion. You don’t need to keep up with her, but you do need to avoid bringing her down.
Speaking of exuberance, she’s going to expect some from you. You don’t need to rip your heart out of your chest and attach it to your sleeve, but she’s going to want you to show some emotional response. Maybe not the same level as her, but you can’t just be a blank slate that’s totally devoid of any kind of emotion.
You treat her like she’s fragile.
People like to be pampered from time to time, it’s why spa days are a thing that people do. Sometimes, people like to be taken care of. But maybe you might take it a little too far when it comes to Mexican women.
You might like the idea of being a gentleman, opening the door for a lady, pulling out her chair, and all that other stuff. Chivalry’s a pretty attractive quality, especially down in Mexico. But you need to be careful to remember that this woman you’re being chivalrous towards survived for quite a bit of time without you so she’s perfectly capable of taking care of herself.
Yes, you should be chivalrous. Absolutely, be chivalrous — that’ll attract Mexican women. But don’t take it so far that it almost or outright becomes patronizing. She’s a human being, not a work of art made of breakable porcelain.
You’re not all that religious.
Mexico has a very strong religious tradition, one that permeates almost every facet of society. It’s also a tradition that can work against you if you’re in pursuit of a relationship with a Mexican woman if you’re not all that religious.
In a lot of more traditional Mexican families, it’s not enough to be a believer, you have to believe the things that they believe. Thanks to being a former Spanish colony, most of Mexico is Catholic and a lot of traditional families aren’t going to be overly enthused at the prospect of their daughter marrying outside of their faith, if you have faith at all. To them, it’s one of the reddest flags there is.
You got a little too much confidence.
Mexican women love a man who’s got confidence. They love a man who’s assertive and a man who’s got a backbone. They, in general, want a man with a healthy ego.
But the problem with that is an ego can sometimes get a little too healthy. A guy who’s a little too confident can end up being arrogant and an arrogant man is not someone that a lot of Mexican women are going to be attracted to. Arrogance, for a lot of Mexican women, is a bit of a red flag.
There are a lot of things about guys that Mexican women like. Conversely, there are a lot of things about guys that Mexican women, or their families, aren’t all that enamored with. But when you know what these potential red flags are, you can avoid waving them.
